Cost-effective Solution
Hosted payloads on the Iridium NEXT constellation and our cutting-edge technology transponder will deliver a global, continuous, real-time cost effective data communication satellite system
At only 780 km from the earth, the proximity of Iridium’s LEO (Low Earth Orbit) network means pole-to-pole coverage, a shorter transmission path, stronger signals, lower latency and shorter registration time than Geostationary Orbit (GEO) satellites.
- Iridium NEXT Satellite platform
- Low Earth Orbit Constellation satellites
- Lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
- Proprietary data format
- Scalable data transmission
Managing Sustainable Fisheries
Netra VMS will provide the position of the fishing vessel updates at an average of 6 positions per hour. With sufficiently vessel’s position updates, all vessel activities will be recognized in detail; when setting the net, how long the net is installed and how long does it take to pull up the fishing net.
With detailed data on the vessel's fishing activities, along with its fishing location, it will be ensured that each fishing vessel operates in accordance with the allocation that has been determined to its fishing permit, thus ensuring the sustainability of natural resource utilization at sea.
On the vessel owner’s side, it can be used to estimate the volume of fish catches by utilizing details of fishing activities that have been reported in real time.
